About Puerto Andratx
Andratx is bounded by Estellencs to the north and by Calvià to the east, while the rest of the territory is bounded by the sea. This municipality is located in the most western part of Mallorca, on the southwest end of the mountain range of Serra de Tramuntana. 28 km away from Palma and with a maximun altitude of 101 m. With a surface of 81,45 km2 and 12.149 inhabitants (year 2012) distributed in 5 population centers: Andratx, Sant Elm, Port d'Andratx, Camp de Mar y S'Arraco.
Port d´Andratx is a natural port at the west tip of Mallorca and it has been used by navigators since old times. It has gone from a small fishermen village to a first-class touristic spot, though the fishing field is still present, fact that favours fresh fish offer by the restaurants in the area. Now the harbour is mostly taken by sailing boats and luxurious yatches.
