Calvià is located in the western part of the island of Mallorca, next to Serra de Tramuntana, the main mountain in the Balearic Islands, and extends to Serra de Na Burguesa. Santa Ponça´s resort started to be built between 1928 and 1930. It was mainly composed by summer residences, with a garden city planning.
